Walking about tid bit

Yesterday I was in one of the down town banks and a guy who stood behind me said, there are nice people in the world.  I asked him what happened to him and he said he said that he got on the bus and told the bus driver he did not have any money. The bus driver allowed him to remain on the bus and he said as he was leaving the bus driver asked him if he wanted a transfer. This act of kindness touched the man and touched me too.

Delta is one of our better hotels in the city and in front of the Delta used to be nice and clean. There were people in front the door smoking and spitting about and there was no guard or staff in front at there used to be ensuring that the standards in front of the hotel are maintained. I think since the airlines stop using the Delta, the management might be discouraged and let it all go. I think it is important for Winnipeg for Delta to uphold high standards and ensure that the entrance of the hotel is impeccable and clean. That would be a welcoming sight. Smokers should not be allowed to smoke in front of the Delta. Period.

Ms Rennie,

We LOVE hearing stories of random acts of kindness, and this is a great example of how simple things we can do, have profound effects on those we interact with. Thank you for sharing.

I am disappointed to learn about your experience at the hotel. As you know, our hotel is 100% non-smoking -- an initiative that we took many years ago to help provide clean, fresh air to all our guests in their guest rooms and of course, all public spaces per the city's by-law. Delta always maintains very high standards, ensuring public spaces remain clean and inviting at all times. Thank you for informing us of your experience -- we will be sure to focus our attention on this area to ensure that you and all other guests have a more positive experience on our doorstep.

Best Regards,
Crystal Hay
