I know it is the democratic right of an individual to represent himself but when that individual uses that privilege to commit a crime (verbally abusing and intimidating) in a court of law that to me is crossing a line and I believe in the case below the adjudicator ought to have stepped in and ruled this respondent/cross-examiner out of order.
When women are abused and/or sexually harassed they can become fragile emotionally and this should be taken into account in a human rights hearing. The fact that it is human rights raises expectations of respect that should take place in the courtroom. It was very sad to hear that the woman was doubly jeopardized by her employer.
