Become Scam Savvy - Do not be duped!

This message is from the Business Transformation and Technology/Information Protection Centre.

·         Be aware that scammers may hijack your webmail account (ex: Gmail/Hotmail) and use your account to scam or send spam to your contacts.
·         The scammer may use your hijacked account to appeal to your contacts saying that you are in trouble in a foreign country.
·         Posing as you, the scammer urges your contacts to wire funds through a money service such as Western Union.
·         You may not realize when a scammer has hijacked your account.
